How to service and repair the vacuum brake booster on 2008 Ford Taurus?

In order to fix the vacuum brake booster, take out the brake master cylinder and the vacuum fitting. Disconnect the stoplamp and speed control switches and have the brake pedal released. Take out the self-locking pin and booster rod and then the brake booster. Install the parts again, without touching the brake pedal, or you could break it.
