How to service and repair a shock absorber on 2009 Ford Edge?

In order to service the shock absorber, take off the quarter trim panel, wheel, tire, and the upper nuts. Place a jackstand and then remove lower bolt and flagnut. Install the shock absorber, loose the lower bolt and refit the wheel. Screw the lower bullet to 80 Nm and upper nuts 25 Nm. Reinstall the trim panel.
