  A: The first step to remove and replace the LH camshaft is to position the crankshaft damper spoke at 12 o'clock and the timing mark indentation at the 1 o'clock position. Remove the LH valve cover. The technician first loosens and backs off the LH camshaft phaser and sprocket bolt one complete revolution before disconnecting and removing the LH Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector along with the sensor itself.
