How to service and repair the alternator on a 2.3L generator on 2009 Ford Fusion?

To maintain the 2.3L generator alternator, unconnection of battery and removal of upper air duct with tightening of 8 Nm is required on re-installation. Take off the generator shield, take off electrical connectors, and remove generator. Reassemble in reverse, being careful that all the parts are tightened to the required torque values.
