How to Service and Repair the Tailgate Handle on 2009 Ford Ranger?

In order to service the tailgate handle, loosen the screws which fasten the access cover, being sure to loosen them before replacing and tighten when reinstalled. The second step is to unlink the tailgate latch actuating rods with the remote control. Take out the latch remote control nuts and reattach the handle by following the same steps of removal.
