How to replace the door lock cylinder on a 2000-2011 Ford Ranger?

Lift the window fully up, next you pull the trim panel and the watershield off. Remove the cylinder, by removing the cylindrical latch rod to the door latch control and using a pair of pliers to shift the cylinder retainer off the lock cylinder and door. Pull out the lock cylinder from the door side, on the outside insert the new lock cylinder into the door opening and push the retainer clip down to the right position. Connect the lock cylinder rod to the door latch control connect check operation of the lock, install the watershield well as the door trim panel.

Lift the window fully up, next you pull the trim panel and the watershield off. Remove the cylinder, by removing the cylindrical latch rod to the door latch control and using a pair of pliers to shift the cylinder retainer off the lock cylinder and door. Pull out the lock cylinder from the door side, on the outside insert the new lock cylinder into the door opening and push the retainer clip down to the right position. Connect the lock cylinder rod to the door latch control connect check operation of the lock, install the watershield well as the door trim panel.
