Insert the lock plate into the open slot adjacent to the factory latch. Next, pass the two supplied bolts through and tighten them. Attach the linkage rod to the new lever, reconnect the panel, and spray the entire assembly with lubricant. In case you ordered the power version, connect the wire to the rear harness, reconnect the battery, press the remote button, and check that your Ford tailgate and new Tailgate Lock click shut.
