Ford E-150 Turn Signal Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on Ford E-150?
A: Beginning the service and repair of the turn signal switch requires depowering the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). You can extract the Ignition Lock Cylinder through key insertion into the switch followed by rotating to RUN position then trigger the release tab with a punch tool to remove it. The tilt release lever or handle should be removed in case it is present. The service involves removing three column shroud screws initially but also requires the removal of two multifunction switch screws. New switch installation should reach 3 Nm torque (27 lb-in) securely. After disconnecting the electrical connectors from the multifunction switch proceed with the reverse installation process. Finally, repower the SRS.
