Camshaft in Ford Edge vehicles are crucial in controlling the operations of the engine's intake and exhaust valves as they help in the admission of the air-fuel mixture for the combustion process, and the exhaustion of the exhaust products. Fit the intermediate shaft onto the steering gear using a new bolt and apply torque to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs). The PSP tube installation requires a new banjo bolt together with two new seals before tightening it to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs). Fasten the engine roll restrictor-to-subframe through bolt to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs) before installing the roll restrictor heat shield and two nuts which should be tightened to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs). The successful installation requires a new RH front halfshaft nut which should be tightened to 350 Nm (258 ft. lbs) after applying the brake to prevent halfshaft rotation. Install four bolts onto the PTU flange by aligning its index marks to the rear driveshaft and tighten all bolts to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs).
