In order to service the front parking brake cable, take the parking brake control, and, optionally, the floor console, off. In cars that lack a console, take off the LH front seat, scuff plate, A-pillar trim and safety belt. Then, loosen and loosen console bracket bolts, lift up the vehicle and disconnect the cable. Installation , reverse the order.

To replace the cable of the front parking brake, place the vehicle in neutral in a hoist. Disconnect the cable to the equalizer bracket, unhook the parking brake control and detach the grommet under the body. Dislodge the cable and rereadjust by reversing the steps of removal.
