Repairing the windshield washer reservoir starts with removal of the right front wheel and tire followed by the right front splash shield. A person should drain windshield washer fluid from the reservoir because washer solutions contain poisonous methanol; handle the solution per warning instructions on the container. Once the drainage steps are complete remove the reservoir securing bolts and set the windshield washer reservoir to one side. Follow this step by disconnecting all electrical connectors together with hoses and extracting the reservoir completely. The windshield washer pump should never be started before completing the reservoir filling process. Reinstall the reservoir by following removal procedure rules while filling it with Ultra-Clear Windshield Washer Concentrate C9AZ-19550-AC or BC or any equivalent product holding Ford specification ESR-M17P5-A.
