In order to replace the Evaporative Emission Control Canister, unmount the battery ground cable, and subsequently the electrical connector and take out the clamp and purge outlet tube. Removal of canister and vent solenoid where available. Install back in sequence, leak test, lubricate O-ring seals with suitable lubricant.

When servicing the EVAP canister, disconnect the battery ground cable, then clean the electrical connector, clamp and purge outlet tube. Disconnect the canister and vent solenoid, when available. Apply lubricating O-ring seals using Merpol(R) lubricant, reverse the procedure, and do a leak-test to make sure it works.
