How to remove and replace the rear left parking brake cable on Ford Expedition?

The first step to change the rear left parking brake cable involves tension relief from the parking brake cable system. Position the vehicle in a neutral gear on a hoisting system before beginning work. The left rear cable needs to be separated from the equalizer before compressing the two tabs to free the conduit from its bracket. The parking brake cable retainer spring needs proper installation while the cables should stay between suspension links. The first step entails removing the parking brake cable retainer spring from the cable until the left rear cable is free from its retaining clip. The ABS wheel speed sensor wire should be unscrewed from the retaining clip if it exists. First remove the cable from the parking brake actuating lever before taking it out from the left bracket assembly and the parking brake actuating lever. The replacement process can be accomplished by following the steps in reverse order.
