Ford Expedition Power Steering Cooler Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Cooler on Ford Expedition?
A: You need to deactivate the air suspension electrical power through the right-hand kick panel switch before starting power steering cooler maintenance to stop vehicle shifting. Start by raising the vehicle followed by removing its skid plate when present by unbolting all bolting points. Unscrewing the lower radiator Air Deflector screws lets you remove both the screws and push clips. The power steering cooler hoses need to be disconnected with clamp compression and sliding back followed by disconnecting the hoses. Remove the power steering cooler by first unscrewing the bolts which allow you to take out the cooler. To install, run the opposite removal steps and perform power steering system filling and bleeding before checking for any fluid leaks.
