Avoid sharpening of bores; change the caliper in case of damage. Apply new seals when reassembling the caliper and lubricate parts with the use of DOT 3 Brake Fluid.

How to bleed the brake caliper on Ford Explorer?

To bleed a brake caliper place a rubber drain tube on the bleeder screw and fill it up with clean brake fluid. Get an assistant to press the brake pedal, as you loosen the screw to empty fluid. Continue repeating until clear fluid is streamed down, then use the screw to refill the reservoir and screw it tight to a set amount of torque.
