    Service or repair on the air door actuator/motor requires the first step to be the removal of the lower steering column opening finish panel by extracting screws and detaching the hood release handle. After unscrewing the two retaining screws pull the finish panel out to break its clips so the lower steering column opening panel can be fully extracted. First remove all bolts from below the steering column then take away both the lower steering column opening finish panel reinforcement and the floor console mounting bracket bolts. Unfasten the screws followed by cutting the vacuum hose connection. Detach the vacuum control motor by first rotating it then disengaging the lever before extraction while bearing in mind that the lever becomes brittle and may break before it finally comes out. Reverse all steps from the removal process to construct the assembly.
