How to Properly Service and Repair a Brake Caliper on Ford F-150?

Start servicing and repairing brake calipers by taking out the rear disc brake caliper then draining all brake fluid from it. First wrap the caliper in a vise before clearing the rear disc brake piston through low fluid pressure into the port while using wood between the caliper bridge and piston. Discard the piston seal and dust boot after piston removal because pistons do not exist for honed cylinder bores but excessive scoring or corrosion requires a replacement of the new rear disc brake caliper. Before assembly discard both the piston seal and dust boot while avoiding the usage of drained brake fluid and open container fluid. Apply High Performance DOT 3 Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid C6AZ-19542-AB which meets Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A or its equivalent on the cylinder bore, piston seal and rear disc brake components before installing the piston seal and dust boot in a structured order followed by the rear disc brake piston then caliper.
