How to service and repair the clutch pressure plate on Ford F-250 Super Duty?

During pressure plate clutch servicing always protect the bearing hole as well as the adjacent areas from any damage when you remove the dowels. The drift tool applies to dowels set in open holes and locking pliers should be used for blind holes. The engine flywheel structure contains two dowels in the diesel model yet three dowels in the gasoline version. When installing the dowels make sure both the bore and surrounding area stay undamaged before using a brass or plastic mallet to push them into the bore straight until they reach full depth.
