Loosen the intermediate shaft bolt, next loosen the dust shield, and the intermediate shaft. Install with a 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs. ) torque and repeat the removal procedure to install.

A: To fix the steering column shaft, make sure that it does not rotate as you disconnect the intermediate shaft to not break the Clock Spring. Unscrew the intermediate shaft, tighten the bolts to required values, take off the dust shield and then attach the intermediate shaft again by a reverse process of the first step of taking the dust shield off.
