How to Service a High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Headlight Bulb on Ford Focus?

In order to service HID headlamp bulb, remove the electrical connector. Take off the headlamp assembly and cover, and remove the ignitor. Get a retaining clamp of the bulb and put it off in safety glasses and gloves. Do not handle the glass of the bulb. Installation of new bulb is by reversing the processes.

When changing the headlamp bulb, be sure both sockets are off. Touch the bulb near its base so that it is not broken. To remove the headlamp cover, squeeze the tabs, loosen the connector and remove the bulb. Install new bulb by reversing the process of removing.
