Service of fog lamp bulbs requires that both the headlamp switch and ignition switch need to be set to OFF. The first step involves taking out the front wheel along with the tire and then moving on to unscrew the 8 fender splash shield screws while detaching the 6 pin-type retainers. The fender splash shield needs to be detached once all components are removed from their positions. Handle the bulb with care through its base only because the halogen bulb operates with pressurized gas which could result in injury from bulb shattering when the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb suffers a drop. Install the new bulb following the reverse steps of fog lamp bulb removal.

The first step to service the fog light bulb requires both headlamp and ignition switches to be set to OFF position. You must put the vehicle into NEUTRAL position to place it on a hoist before you remove the radiator lower air deflector by unscrewing 8 fasteners along with 5 pin-type retainers. The bulb needs to stay in place until the moment right before bulb replacement since contaminants that enter the bulb can negatively impact its performance. Handle it carefully by grasping only the base and avoiding contact with the glass, as it contains gas under pressure and may shatter if scratched or dropped.

Install the new bulb by reversing the removal procedure.

Rotate the bulb sockets one-eighth of a turn to remove the headlamp bulb.

Both the headlamp switch and ignition switch should be in the OFF position.

Remove the headlamp bulb protective cover.

Avoid removing the bulb for an extended period, as this can affect its performance due to potential contaminants entering the headlamp.

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the fog lamp.

Ensure the headlamp switch and ignition switch are both turned off.

Ensure the headlamp switch and ignition switch are both in the OFF position.

The headlamp bulb should not be removed until just before installing a new one to prevent contaminants from entering the headlamp and affecting performance.

Reverse the removal procedure and adjust the headlamps if necessary.
