The instrument cluster needs removal as the first step to service or repair instrument panel bulbs. Begin by extracting the suitable bulb. You can install the instrument panel bulb by reversing the steps of removal.

Service of the high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamp bulb begins with disconnecting the headlamp assembly electrical connector to protect against hazardous high voltages. First detach the entire headlamp assembly along with its cover before proceeding. Extract the electrical connector from the ignitor of the headlamp bulb before proceeding to remove the ignitor itself. The retaining clamp for the headlamp bulb must be released under protection of safety glasses and protective gloves because this step carries a risk of personal injury. Touching the glass surface of a headlamp bulb should be avoided. Removing the bulb marks the beginning of installation that proceeds through the reversal of removal steps.

The proper procedure for servicing the fog lamp bulb begins with turning off both headlamps and ignition. After setting the vehicle to NEUTRAL position you can install it on a hoist. First disconnect the two screws holding the fender splash shield before placing the shield aside. The fog lamp bulb needs removal after disconnecting its electrical connector while handling the base to minimize personal harm because pressure gas in the bulb can cause an explosion upon envelope scratches or drops. Care must be taken to prevent contact with fog lamp glass and to keep the bulb discharge-free for a long duration to protect performance from contamination. You should reinstall the new bulb by following the steps in reverse order but wait to turn it on until complete installation is achieved.

Take out 8 screws and 5 pin-type retainers.

Rotate it one quarter turn counterclockwise and lift it straight out from the instrument cluster.

Take out the appropriate bulb.
