How to service and repair the ignition lock cylinder on Ford Focus?

In order to fix the ignition lock cylinder, one must disconnect the battery, take off lower instrument panel, upper steering column shroud. When needed, remove the audio control switch, and shroud screws. Insert the key to position I and press the detent and then remove the lock cylinder and vice-versa.
