How to service and repair the cruise control servo on Ford Ranger?

To perform work on the cruise control servo start with disconnecting the battery ground cable and the speed control servo electrical connector. Start by removing the speed control cable cap from the speed control servo by gently pushing its locking arm while counterclockwise turning the cap. Depress the spring retainer to free the core wire end from passing through the speed control servo pulley for speed control cable removal. First detach the speed control servo bracket through removing its bolt then separate the servo from the speed control servo bracket with all bracket bolts. The installation process starts with reversing the removal steps and making sure the rubber seal completely fits onto the speed control cable cap.
