In order to service the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, one should disconnect the battery ground, air cleaner outlet tube and the electrical connector. Take out the four attaching nuts. The MAF is set up, and therefore service it as a unit. To install, undo the tasks of removal.

How to service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Ford Taurus?

To maintain the Air Flow Meter /Sensor disconnect battery ground cable, dislodge air cleaner outlet tube and unconnect MAF sensor by disconnecting electrical connector and loosening four securing nuts. The MAF is a calibrated unit; service as an entire assembly. Installation is reversed.
