The first step includes removing the lower coupling pinch bolt and detaching the intermediate shaft from the coupling before discarding the bolt. You need to remove the three retaining nuts before taking the intermediate shaft and its seal out. You should then take away the pinch bolt before extracting the intermediate shaft and properly dispose of the bolt. The completion of installation requires following the opposite steps of removal.
