  A: The power steering pump repair starts with removing four pushpins and the engine cover then moving to the air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. The service begins with belt removal followed by clearing the power steering reservoir-to-pump hose and draining the reservoir contents into a proper receptacle. Lift the vehicle by hoist and remove both tire assembly and wheel. The work procedure requires removal of two bolts and a shield combined with one pushpin followed by two more pushpins and another shield. Finish power steering pressure hose connection by detaching it from the pump. Then remove the pump-securing bolt. After lowering the vehicle you must remove all pump bolts to extract it. Before clamping down the upper bolts it is essential to install a new O-ring on the power steering pressure hose fitting. After installing the pump and its bolts you should raise the vehicle to apply the bolt and join the power steering pressure hose. Secure the bolt first and afterward install the shield alongside two pushpins and finish by attaching the shield with one pushpin and two bolts. Put the wheel back onto its place before lowering the vehicle completely to tighten each bolt. Put on the accessory Drive Belt followed by the air cleaner outlet tube and the air cleaner cover. Check the pushpins for damage and replace damaged ones if present. Reinstall the four pushpins onto the engine cover before completing the system fill-up while inspecting for leaks.
