Service of the knock sensor (KS) begins by taking out the intake manifold. First disconnect all electrical plugs connected to the knock sensor. After disconnecting the electrical connectors you should take out the bolts before removing the two knock sensors. Install the new sensors by tightening them to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque value before reinstalling them according to the removal steps.
