How to service the brake light switch on Lincoln Town Car?

Service of the brake light switch begins by removing accessory pin-type retainers as well as the left-hand instrument panel insulator when present to disconnect the courtesy lamp. Start by detaching the electric connection from the stoplamp switch. First remove the cover combined with the self-locking pin and then extract the stoplamp switch from the brake booster push rod and brake pedal. The installation process can be finished by performing the disassembly steps in reverse order.
