How to service and repair the brake light switch on Lincoln Town Car?

The brake light switch can be serviced by first disconnecting the battery ground cable, and then disconnecting the pin-type retainers and LH instrument panel insulator, and finally disconnecting the courtesy lamp. Now unplug the BPP switch, pull it out and take off the push rod spacer and bushing. Installation Reverse the process.

Service brake light switch, loosen the retainers and left instrument panel insulator and undo the courtesy lamp and electrical connector. Then, pull off the cover, self-locking pin and extract the switch in the brake booster push rod and pedal. Installation reverses.
