How to Service and Repair the Front Door Jamb Switch for the Alarm on Lincoln Town Car?

The process of servicing the door disarm switch for the alarm starts with stripping the LH front door trim panel and placing the watershield to the side. The service requires you to separate the door lock cylinder actuating rod from the door lock cylinder actuating pawl so you can take out the E-clip and door lock cylinder actuating pawl. First disconnect the electrical connector then take out the door disarm switch. Reverse the removal steps while installing the switch by placing the door disarm switch mark towards the harness side of the switch and then properly securing it in its position.
