How to service the Light Control Module on Lincoln Town Car?

Before servicing the Lighting Control Module (LCM) users need to detach the battery ground cable. Mount the diagnostic tool with module configuration information before module removal because the downloaded configuration data will be needed to program the new module during installation. Service of the Lighting Control Module starts with removing the left-hand instrument panel lower insulator by taking out pin-type retainers and disconnecting the courtesy lamp. Start the LCM removal process by detaching its electrical connectors then disconnecting the accelerator pedal assembly including its shaft. Finish the procedure by taking out the instrument panel lower insulator. Proceed with installation by following the opposite direction of removal steps while downloading saved module configuration data from the diagnostic tool to the new module during installation.
