How to service the oil cooler on Mercury Mariner?

In order to service the oil cooler, lift the vehicle in neutral. Take off the splash shield bolts, empty the engine oil and change the oil filter. Unplug the coolant hoses and oil pressure sender. Take out the oil filter adapter, check the cooler and put it back, ensuring that all parts are tightened as required. Lastly, fill up the cooling and insert oil.
