To replace the thermostat housing on a 2.3L engine, lift up the car and empty the cooling system. Take off the accessory drive belt, disconnect hoses and unbolt the thermostat housing. Adjust the new housing to 10 Nm, check and change the gasket when necessary and refill and bleed the cooling system.
