How to service the coolant reservoir safely on Mercury Mariner?

A coolant reservoir is to be serviced when the engine is cooled. Vent pressure by turning the cap counter clockwise followed by removing it. Hose: Clamp hose, empty coolant, unhook hoses, and take out degas bottle. Restart by turning around the procedure and pouring it with a suggested coolant blend.

How to Safely and Effectively Service the Coolant Reservoir on Mercury Mariner?

To maintain the degas bottle, make sure that when taking the pressure relief cap off when hot, do not unscrew it. Unscrew pressure, screw down degas bottle-to-radiator hose, and sipe down coolant. Disconnect required hoses, take out the degas bottle and fit it back, tighten the nuts to 6 Nm. Add the recommended mixture of coolant.
