How to service and repair the windshield washer pump on Mercury Mariner?

In order to fix the windshield washer pump, raise the car in neutral and take off RH front fender splash shield. Empty the reservoir, unscrew electrical connector and hose, and take the pump out. Damage to the pump causes can be avoided by filling the reservoir with washer fluid after installation.
