How to service and repair the wheel spindle on Mercury Milan?

The wheel bearing together with wheel hub assembly requires removal as the first step to repair a wheel spindle. Start the service by extracting three bolts holding the brake disc shield and then remove the shield making sure bolts get secured to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft) when reinstalling. The wheel spindle detachment starts when the four wheel spindle bolts are removed but spindle reinstallation must include torque to 140 Nm (103 lb-ft).
