  A: Begin the thermostat housing service operation with cooling system draining. The air cleaner assembly needs removal first followed by disconnecting the two thermostat housing coolant hoses while keeping them safe. You should first detach all four hoses including the upper radiator-to-thermostat housing, bypass tube-to-thermostat housing, heater hose from the thermostat housing and lower radiator-to-thermostat housing before setting them aside. The two thermostat housing bolts need removal and you should dispose of its replacement O-ring seal. Follow the removal steps in reverse order while installing a fresh O-ring on the thermostat housing that requires engine coolant lubrication after which secure the bolts at 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Complete the process by filling and bleeding the system cooling mechanism.
