In order to install the rear brake disc shield you have to first remove parking brake shoes and then remove the bolts so that this can be done. cut the shield in the holes. To install, cut a new shield in half, place it and fix it with 2 bolts per half and tighten with 8 Nm. Install shoes on the parking brake again.

How to Service and Repair Rear Brake Dust Shields on Mercury Mountaineer?

Removal of the parking brake shoes and shield bolts will be required in order to service the rear brake disc shield. Take the shield at perforation to take. To fit a new shield, cut, place, and fit two bolts (part number W600212) in each half and tighten to 8 Nm. Replace the parking brake shoes.
