    Q: How to Service the Rear Door Power Window Motor on Mercury Mountaineer?
    A: Begin the service on rear door window motors by raising the glass to full up position while supporting it and disconnecting the battery ground cable. The process starts with removing the rear door trim panel after which you must separate the speaker by undoing the mounting screws while disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the speaker device. Once you have removed the watershield you should proceed to take out the power window motor while you remove its bolts and detach the electrical connector. The installation process begins by reversing all disassembly steps then the door glass needs to be cycled to confirm correct drive function. An abnormally behaving vehicle can occur after reconnecting the battery since the vehicle learns its adaptive strategy during a drive period of at least 16 km (10 miles).
