How to service the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) System Oil Filter on Mercury Mariner?

To change the VCT System Oil Filter, take off the VCT oil control solenoid, intake camshaft thrust cap oil filter plug and filter. Install the new filter with a tightening of up to 17 Nm (150 lb-in) and reverse the steps of removal to install the filter.

How to service and repair the oil filter on Mercury Milan?

In order to service the oil filter, place the vehicle on neutral using a hoist. Unscrew the screws of the oil filter access cover, empty the oil supply and dispose the old filter and seals. Rinse down the new O-ring, put on the new filter and tighten to recommended torque. Install access cover (where necessary).
