How to Service and Repair the Lead-In Antenna Cable on Mercury Sable?

Service and repair operations on the antenna lead-in cable start with ACM Audio Control Module removal. Begin the antenna lead-in cable service and repair by removing the right-hand cowl side trim panel followed by lowering the glove compartment door. To gain full access to the compartment you need to detach the glove compartment door tension rod as well as pull its tabs outward. The antenna lead-in cable requires disconnection from the AM/FM antenna cable before removing the cable by releasing the pin-type retainers. For the new cable installation follow the opposite order of the removal steps.
