How to service the ignition coil for the Flex Fuel system on Mercury Sable?

Service of the Flex Fuel ignition coil begins with removing it from its securing bracket. You should first disconnect the secondary air injection diverter valve together with the vacuum tube and the secondary air injection diverter tube. Unfasten the wire harness locators that connect to the engine control sensor from the ignition coil bracket. Position the secondary air injection diverter valve control solenoid to the side using the tab release mechanism before removing the two nuts on the diverter valve. You must eliminate the needle-nose pliers from the ignition coil mounting bracket through stud bolt removal. The installation ends by following the reverse steps of removal.
