How to service the outer tie rod end on Mercury Mariner?

Service of the outer tie rod end begins with removing the wheel and tire accessory. The installation of the tie-rod end jam nut requires a torque of 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) after loosing it during service. Before discarding the used outer tie-rod end nut replace it with a new one which needs tightening to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft). The front wheel knuckle needs a Ball Joint Separator to detach the outer tie-rod end before removing the outer tie-rod end. The service finishes when you undo the installation steps but double-check the front toe measurement for possible readjustment.
