Put the crankshaft key into its keyway before installing the crankshaft sprocket and the timing chain or belt. The procedure ends with reinstalling and securing the timing belt cover after putting on the crankshaft pulley and tightening its bolt and washer.

You should replace the transmission/transaxle and then install the flex plate or flywheel.
