The assembly process requires the yellow snap rings included in the kit and black snap rings serve as a back up alternative when needed. The procedure should be repeated for installing the new snap ring on the opposite bearing cup. Complete the inspection of the U-joint for unrestricted movements by using a brass or plastic hammer to strike the yoke if binding occurs.
