How to Service and Repair the A/C Expansion Valve on 2000 Ford Expedition?

To work on the expansion valve you must complete the steps for discharging and recovering refrigerant first. First take off the quarter trim panel access hood before separating the A/C evaporator core from the A/C evaporator expansion valve. Unplug the A/C lines before taking off the thermostatic expansion valve. Turn all steps of the installation process in the opposite direction of removal.
