The first step requires detaching the floor duct panel after separating pin-type retainers and releasing the expander clip. The next step involves removing the right-hand (RH) instrument panel brace by first untightening its nut and bolt and finally taking out the brace. The next step involves positioning the left-hand instrument panel lower nut aside then disconnecting the restraints control module (RCM) electrical connector. The RCM bracket assembly removal requires the disconnection of bracket retaining bolts. Cut the rear seat airflow duct from both sides before folding its carpet and air duct back. Begin by unscrewing two screws on the floor duct along its sides until you can remove the duct from the vehicle.
