Service and repair of the panel floor console door actuator air door actuator/motor starts with disconnecting the battery. Prior to dashboard removal the instrument panel requires proper procedures regarding dashboard and interior moulding installation. The link end needs to be disconnected from the center console door before unscrewing the panel floor console door actuator. After removal follow the installation steps by placing arrow (1) on the actuator housing against the actuator coupling (2). Open or close the door fully before placing the actuator while manually setting the floor console door alignment until you can install the link between them. Run a check on the door positioning by observing the airflow to both panel and floor console areas after pieces are installed. New door actuator assemblies arrive at the midpoint positioning but you can use jumper wires to help installation of removed actuators by applying electrical control in the center position.
