How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose with Auxiliary Climate Control on 2002 Ford Explorer?

The procedure for servicing and repairing the HVAC hose/line with auxiliary climate control starts with refrigerant recovery. Set the degas bottle to the side by removing the air cleaner housing together with the air cleaner outlet tube before taking out the bolts. Start by removing the nut and refrigerant line bracket before disconnecting the condenser to evaporator line spring-lock coupling on the evaporator inlet and the auxiliary refrigerant line spring-lock coupling. Dispose the O-ring seals during this step. Unscrew the bolt which holds the evaporator outlet line bracket next to the degas bottle before removing the second bolt. Put place the air deflector in front as you remove the radiator grille together with the three pin-type retainers. Begin by removing the condenser to evaporator line nut which allows setting aside the suction accumulator but keep discarding the O-ring seals with the nut and line. If you replace the condenser to evaporator line always return through the opposite procedure while adding enough clean PAG oil or equivalent to the refrigerant system and using new O-ring seals which get lubricated in clean PAG oil or equivalent. To finish the process it is essential to evacuate and leak test the refrigerant system followed by a charging operation.
