2002 Lincoln Blackwood A/C Condenser Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the A/C Condenser on 2002 Lincoln Blackwood?
A: Start service of the HVAC condenser by recovering all refrigerants first. Begin the service process by first removing the upper radiator sight shield and the bolts holding the radiator brackets in place while paying attention to the right-hand radiator bracket that serves as an example for the left-hand bracket. The condenser core A/C lines need their nuts removed before bracket bolts can be taken out where the right-hand bracket illustrates while the left-hand bracket follows the same procedure. The condenser core becomes ready for removal following all steps. To install the system follow the opposite removal steps and replace the O-rings with new ones lubricated in PAG oil before lubricating the system with required amounts of clean PAG oil. Replacement of a suction accumulator will be needed only after detecting physical evidence of system pollutants from an A/C compressor failure or suction accumulator damage or when a condenser core leak requires testing before removal.
